SIFU ANDY SMITH

My name is Sifu Andy Smith and I am the instructor for Meridian Kung Fu Stanford-Le-Hope. I have been training within the art of Wing Chun for 16 years,  currently holding a First Degree Black Belt. Starting at the age of Thirteen to now teaching the art to children and adults across Essex. I always had a passion for martial arts watching actors like Jackie Chan and jet li that made me fuelled to learn martial arts. Starting as a teenager I was very nervous to begin with, but with the exceptional coaches and instructors, they helped me through each session and made me excited and eager for the next lesson. I started coaching at the age of 17 and was one of the first to move from the teenagers to the adults and become a coach. To be able to pass on the knowledge that was passed to me is a privilege, to see young people develop the way that I am, still training in the art, is a huge thing to see happen with students.
